 If oil in the pad is  turbid and it has  yellow color chips – there are problems with the sun gear. The reason attributed to the fact that  structurally most loaded unit  loses lubrication despite the fact that the computer at the kick-down loads it to the limits with distortion from the differential side loads. Every time when the VW owner presses pedal to  the floor loading  the  transmission to the maximum, the sun gear bushing wears out and  clutches K1 (1-2-3-4) begin to burn . Prolonged operation with the   wearout to such extent results in loss of the valve body. After 2006, when the VW programmers  corrected the torque converter curve at  the busiest speeds  masters  started to forget about this problem.
