(Oval-shaped connector)The sensor belongs to the inductive type. Data about  vehicle speed is taken  from the input shaft gear. Information about the vehicle speed is needed to: determine the time of switching  of one or another gear ,controlling  torque converter wheel slip. In case  of  failure signal from the engine speed sensor is used for substitution. The muff of torque converter blocking is not switched.
