 Replacement of pressure solenoid valve

Often, after mileage ranging from 100 000 to 200 000 km, depending on driving style, car owners, with installed AISIN TF60-SN transmission and its modifications, face problems with valve body.You can understand that valve body is faulty by jerks and shocks, or by slippage during gear shifting when the car is warmed up.

Why do these problems appear?

09G valve body has an internal natural wear, encouraged by delayed replacement of oil, in which excess metal wear products are present after such mileage. Timely oil replacement can help to delay premature failure of automatic transmission valve body. But it is impossible to escape fiction parts natural wear. If valve body case is worn pressure regulators start to leak oil .Oil leak may cause appearance of clunks and thumps when shifting in case of too high pressure on solenoids ,and in case of low pressure can cause slipping

In the photo below valve body channel, which has been "opened" for better wear visibility.Also there may be problems with solenoids which are clogged by worn parts particles, mixed with oil. In consequence of this oil mixture formation solenoids are partly stuck and help to "eat away" valve body channels.

What to do if your transmission has such defects?

Is it necessary to consult specialists! If it is your case, normal computer diagnostics will not be enough, because to make valve body channels surfaces diagnosis without special equipment is IMPOSSIBLE!

We have all the necessary high-precision equipment and stands for diagnostics and repair both shift(single-contact), solenoids, and PWM solenoids as well as valve bodies.

Valve body is vacuumized (vacuum is created),trouble spots and leak places are marked. Valve body is completely disassembled, all parts are put separately into cells and defects are found out. Valve body is repaired by boring channels and insertion of aluminum bushings there in.Factory plungers and springs are used for repairing, without having to replace them for rebuilt ones. Insertion sleeves are also made in "Maktrans" company workshop.

The solenoids are also fully disassembled, cleaned, washed, faulty components are replaced with new ones.

Then everything is assembled,vacuumized,valvebody is installed on the stand to check all operating modes. When testing oil temperature reaches 100 degrees Celsius.

If there is no pressure failures during solenoid operation then valve body is ready for installation into the automatic transmission.
