The main reason for the failure of JF011E boxes is oil overheating. With age, the transmission needs more cooling, as it already has significant contamination and multiple leaks. At temperatures above 110 ℃, the oil loses its viscosity, resistance to oxidation, foaming, and the adhesive base of the friction plates begins to break down. All this reduces significantly the resource of your automatic transmission.
Cellular coolers-heat exchangers are installed on the JF011E, its narrow grooves are clogged with automatic transmission wear products after mileage of 120-150 tthousand km . Cleaning and flushing of the heat exchanger is not possible, you can read more about this problem HERE.
The adapter plate allows you to install an external radiator and main filter INSTEAD of a heat exchanger.
